Real-Time Generative Visual Effects with Notch, Integrated in Disguise
Per il concerto di Irama abbiamo sviluppato una serie di effetti visivi generativi creati in Notch e integrati nel sistema Disguise che gestiva i contenuti scenografici dello show.
For Irama’s concert, we developed a series of generative visual effects created in Notch and integrated into the Disguise system used to manage the show’s scenographic content.
Il nostro lavoro si è concentrato sulla progettazione di Notch block capaci di reagire in tempo reale alla musica e di interagire con l'impianto visivo esistente. Gli effetti sono stati creati per inserirsi senza soluzione di continuità nella timeline del media server, seguendo una struttura di show control basata sul timecode.
Our work focused on designing Notch blocks capable of reacting in real time to the music and interacting with the existing visual setup. The effects were created to blend seamlessly into the media server’s timeline, following a precise show control structure based on timecode.
Durante lo sviluppo abbiamo collaborato a stretto contatto con la direzione visiva e i programmatori luci, per garantire che i nostri contenuti rispettassero l'estetica complessiva dello show.
Throughout the development phase, we collaborated closely with the visual direction and lighting programming teams to ensure that our content matched the overall aesthetic of the show.
Gli effetti rispondevano dinamicamente a elementi come l'intensità del suono, le transizioni luminose e i cambi di scena, contribuendo a costruire una narrazione visiva coerente e coinvolgente.
The visual effects responded dynamically to elements such as sound intensity, lighting transitions, and scene changes, helping to build a visual narrative that was both coherent and engaging.
Una volta finalizzati, i Notch block sono stati importati in Disguise e assegnati a cue specifiche dello show. Questo ha permesso al team media di regolare e controllare gli effetti dal vivo, adattandoli alla performance.
Once finalized, the Notch blocks were imported into Disguise and assigned to specific cues within the show. This allowed the media team to adjust and control the effects live, adapting them to the performance as needed.
L'integrazione con Disguise ha garantito una sincronizzazione perfetta tra audio, luci ed elementi visivi, amplificando l'impatto emotivo della performance.
The integration with Disguise ensured perfect synchronization between audio, lighting, and visual elements, enhancing the emotional impact of the live performance.
Il nostro obiettivo era arricchire la dimensione immersiva dello show con visual generativi reattivi, capaci di adattarsi al ritmo del concerto senza sovrastarlo.
Our goal was to enrich the immersive dimension of the show through responsive generative visuals that could adapt to the pace of the concert without overpowering it.
Il risultato è stato un livello di contenuti dinamici sottile ma efficace, pensato per sostenere ed elevare l'esperienza visiva del pubblico con coerenza stilistica e precisione tecnica.
The result was a subtle yet effective layer of dynamic content, designed to support and elevate the audience’s visual experience with both stylistic consistency and technical precision.
