THE PROJECT
Nel cuore di Dubai, il Bridge of Love è un'installazione interattiva permanente all'interno della torre One Za'abeel, pensata per creare un'esperienza emotiva unica. Gli ospiti dei ristoranti possono acquistare un lucchetto digitale, personalizzarlo e vederlo apparire in tempo reale sul LED wall che attraversa il ponte tra le due aree dining. Scansionando un QR code al tavolo si accede alla web app dedicata, dove scegliere colore, gemme decorative e incidere le proprie iniziali. Completata la personalizzazione, si riceve un video pronto per la condivisione social, mentre il lucchetto digitale prende vita sulle enormi superfici LED del ponte, amplificando visivamente il concetto di ponte dell'amore.
THE PROJECT
Located in the heart of Dubai, the Bridge of Love is a permanent interactive installation inside the One Za’abeel tower, designed to create a unique emotional experience for visitors. Guests dining at the restaurants can purchase a digital padlock, customize it, and see it appear in real time on the LED wall spanning the bridge between the two dining areas. By scanning a QR code on their table, users access the dedicated web app, where they can choose the color, decorative gems, and engrave their initials. Once the customization is complete, they receive a video ready for social sharing, while their digital padlock comes to life on the massive LED surfaces of the bridge, visually enhancing the concept of the love bridge.
NOTCH & DISGUISE
L'infrastruttura visiva del progetto è alimentata da Notch, che garantisce un flusso interattivo continuo tra la web app e l'installazione fisica. Il LED wall, che avvolge il ponte con contenuti in continua evoluzione, combina elementi pre-renderizzati e generati in tempo reale. Il collegamento tra web app e LED wall è reso possibile da uno script JavaScript integrato in Notch, che riceve i dati d'acquisto e aggiorna dinamicamente i contenuti. L'intero sistema è orchestrato dal media server disguise (d3), responsabile della riproduzione real-time in Notch, del mapping dei contenuti e della sincronizzazione delle animazioni con la struttura del ponte.

The visual infrastructure of the project is powered by Notch, ensuring a seamless interactive flow between the web app and the physical installation. The LED wall, which wraps around the bridge with ever-evolving visual content, combines pre-rendered and real-time generated elements. The connection between the web app and the LED wall is made possible through a JavaScript script integrated into Notch, which receives purchase data and dynamically updates the displayed content. The entire system is orchestrated by the disguise (d3) media server, responsible for handling real-time playback in Notch, content mapping, and animation synchronization with the bridge structure.
APP
La web app sviluppata per il progetto è il cuore dell'esperienza utente: un'interfaccia intuitiva per personalizzare e acquistare il lucchetto in pochi passaggi. Dopo aver finalizzato il design e completato il pagamento, l'utente riceve all'istante un video personalizzato da scaricare e condividere. Il processo di rendering è ottimizzato per tempi di attesa minimi, mentre la sincronizzazione con il LED wall garantisce un effetto visivo immediato e scenografico.
APP
The web app developed for this project is the core of the user experience, providing an intuitive interface for padlock customization and purchase in just a few simple steps. After finalizing their digital padlock design and completing payment, users instantly receive a personalized video to download and share. The rendering process is optimized to ensure minimal waiting time, while synchronization with the LED wall guarantees a captivating and immediate visual effect.
