BREAKDOWN
After years of silence and anticipation, Calcutta returned to the stage with the Relax Tour—a series of concerts that, between winter 2023 and summer 2024, swept across Italy with the gentleness of a sigh and the force
of a collective chant. Eight sold-out arena shows and thirteen summer dates welcomed the singer-songwriter from Latina, who brought to life his latest album Relax (2023), alongside the songs that defined a generation.
But the Relax Tour was more than just music—it was a sensory and visual experience. The visuals, created
by Lorenzo Venturini using Notch technology, accompanied every note with living, generative images
that seemed to react to Calcutta’s voice and the energy of the crowd. Liquid lights, shifting digital textures, controlled glitches, and synthetic landscapes turned the stage into a breathing organism—amplifying emotion without ever overshadowing it.
These visuals weren’t mere decoration; they spoke a parallel language. They told stories left unsaid,
filled in the silence between lyrics, and created space for the audience to drift. A visual journey that moved
between the abstract and the intimate, the dreamlike and the familiar—mirroring Calcutta’s honest, hesitant presence on stage.
In an age of noise and speed, Relax offered a pause.
The tour became its perfect translation:
imperfect, intimate, alive.
